Education and Management

Sejak pembentukannya, peer group Disaster Education and Management telah aktif dalam melakukan kegiatan yang merupakan wujud implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Peer group ini aktif dalam melakukan penelitian dan menjalin kerjasama dengan berbagaimitra seperti Kyoto University, International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS)-Tohoku University, Kobe University dan Miyagi University of Education, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM), dll. Peer group ini juga telah menerima hibah dari START International, Inc (USA) dan the Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN). Peer group ini juga didukung oleh para fasilitator muda yang merupakan mahasiswa yang telah diberikan pembekalan. Peer group ini juga memiliki sebuah laboratorium Disaster Education yang baru dibentuk pada tahun 2015. Laboratorium ini didirikan seiring dengan semakin padatnya aktifitas pendidikan, penelitian maupun pengabdian masyarakat di bidang pendidikan bencana pada peer group Disaster Education and Management TDMRC Unsyiah. Laboratorium ini telah dilengkapi dengan fasilitas yang terkait dengan pendidikan bencana dan juga memperoleh dana Hibah Awal Laboratorium Unsyiah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas laboratorium dalam meningkatkan ketahanan masyarakat dalam menghadapi bencana.
